Mike Curran started racing in 1994 in the go-karts. Mike raced at various tracks across the mid south. In 2001 Mike finished 2nd in the points standings at Twin Fountains Raceway Park in Shelbyville, TN. In 2003 Mike picks up his first win by winning at Music City Motorplex on the 5/8th mile track in three divisions in his open sprint kart. In 2004 Mike raced at Music City Motorplex in a open sprint kart and in a champ kart, where he won the first 4 races of the season in the champ and won 4 times in the open sprint kart. He rounded out the season 3rd in the points in both karts. In 2006 Mike competed in 3 races in a NASKart at Music City Motorplex and finished in the top 3 each time. Mike also competed in the Front Runner division in 2006 where he finished 5th in the points with only 3 starts getting 1 win and finishing 2nd in his other 2 starts. In 2007 Mike Curran moves up to the Raceceiver Legends car series to compete at various track across the mid south.
